Our Hockey Goalie Glove Relacing Kit features premium materials including a solid brass relacing needle and premium 120" Howies waxed hockey laces. These two items were selected based on thousands of customer reviews and responses, professional equipment managers, our repair staff, as well as various other goalies who love to tinker on their own gear.
The needle is a Perma-Lok 4" solid brass needle, extremely strong and durable. The 4" size is important for the glove as you don't want an over sized needle when potentially working in the tight spaces of a goalie glove. One of the end the needle is pointed for threading, the other end is open and threaded just the right size allowing you to twist laces into.
The laces selected are Howies waxed, 120", and available in a variety colours to customize your trapper the way you want it. While laces do weigh more than nylon lace, they're great for rebound control and by selecting wax laces as opposed to non-waxed, they repel water better keeping your glove light.
